IN THE STORY OF "THE BLIND MEN AND THE ELEPHANT:"

Six blind men encounter an elephant. Each one attempts to describe what the animal is like. After one blind man feels the elephant’s serpentine trunk, he concludes that they must be dealing with an animal that is similar to a snake. “No, the elephant is like a tree,” says the blind man standing next to the animal’s leg. “No, the elephant is very much like a spear,” says the man by the tusk. Each man is literally incapable of seeing the bigger picture, as they are only able to describe the elephant from their limited experience and perspective.

We believe the current medical model often treats the client like the blind men treated the elephant. Too many professionals see the individual only through their narrow field of expertise, ignoring solutions that can only come from acknowledging all viewpoints.

That’s why we believe in a multi-disciplinary approach and using positive coaching strategies. It’s the only way we can truly consider the whole person and come up with a plan that allows them to become the best expression of themselves. Our logo depicts an elephant, with each part representing one of the blind men from the story. We use this as a reminder of our mission to always consider the whole person.
